She became excellent at hiding her abilities from the first day she noticed them. At twelve years of age, Cerys became the handmaiden for the king's daughter, princess Evline. They became close over the years, and to the day Evline was the only one  in which Cerys had confided her truth. Evline accepted her, but a horrible fate claimed the princess. Cerys has never told another soul since, believing it was the evil she was born with that condemned her only friend to death. Since then, Cerys was reassigned as the caretaker for the king's  bastard son.
