alchemy, the art of decomposing matter and making it into something new it takes skilled alchemists to create something powerful and useful, but it can take an even better alchemist to make something destructive. the praised alchemy tool, a philosopher's stone, has great and mighty power. but the cost to have one is even bigger. it takes blood and souls, the ingredient; live humans. [this is a 1x1 [-kapoon- x atmosphere] please don't post unless you're -kapoon- or atmosphere. but feel free to read along. this one is from the world of full metal alchemist.]

name. envy the jealous age. 180+ gender. genderless [he] species. homunculus abilities. shape-shift Envy, who exists only to make humans suffer, bears more bitter resentment for humans than any other homunculus, and negatively treats with humans in the most personal and heartfelt manner. They are most comfortable in the form of an androgynous teenager. Envy can easily be set off by insults due to their large and delicate ego, thus causing them to make mistakes. Envy is by far the cruelest Homunculus, joking around and delighting in human misery. Envy will kill without hesitation, usually playing on their target's emotions to have a psychological advantage, with no remorse for what they have done. Envy has the ability to shape-shift into anything or anyone, whether it be real people, animals, or human aspects that they made up. It can transform into anything that doesn't exceed the size and weight of their true form, which, seeing how massively large it is, does not create much of an issue.

║ Shingero Takano ║ The warm, afternoon sun beat down on the city pavements of East City, the large buildings creating shadows on the streets below. People rushed by, each going to their respected places; some going to shops other to work. Among the bustling crowd was a young alchemist, now he wasn't as important as a State Alchemist but he was rather friendly with many of the residents in East City. In his arms he carried a bag of different food items; some bread, fruits, and vegetables; but behind the bag was a new book on alchemic research. A few people would recognize the alchemist and give a joyful 'hello' or 'good afternoon' to the male as he walked by and in return he gave a gentle nod and smile which was usually followed by a 'hello' or 'good afternoon'.
Soon enough he had arrived in front of a small shop, opening the door and entering. He placed the objects down on the small counter before sighing softly. After putting the items in the back he then started to prepare to open his small shop, one that would repair items for money. Sure it was a simple way to make money and there would always be return customers, it also helped that Shin was very lenient on prices and enjoyed chatting with his customers. After opening up the shop the little bell above the door rang, announcing the arrival of a customer. A small, frail old lady walked in, cradling an old wooden clock. "I'm sorry to bother you again Takano but would you be able to fix my clock?" she asked as the male gave a warm smile, "It's okay Mrs. SinClaire, do you know what's wrong with it?" He had asked as she handed over the item. "It won't keep the right time." she replied with a soft frown. "Don't worry I'll get this fixed in a jiffy." he replied before placing the item on the counter. He then ducked down and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen, drawing out the correct transmutation circle before placing the clock on top of it. After activating the transmutation circle and fixing the clock he handed it back to her, "That should do it Mrs. SinClaire, if it still isn't working feel free to bring it back here for a free fix." he said with a smile which the older woman returned, "Thank you once again Takano, and here you go." she replied before handing over more than enough cenz to cover the repairs. "Oh Mrs. SinClaire I can't accept this much!" Shin had started but the woman just waved her hand with a smile, "Nonsense, this is how much I believe your services should cost. Now take care Mr. Shingero." And with that she had left while waving goodbye, leaving Shin to sigh with a happy smile; guess now he had some extra money for next month's grocery run.
((Sorry it took so long to reply, I ended up getting super busy last night))

||Envy the Jealous||
The bleakness of the underground headquarters made Envy itch for trouble to cause. He paced around the perimeter of the place about three times now, except for the basement dungeons. Cold sewer water dripped in certain places and echoed through the empty tunnels. Envy sighed, quite loudly, that echoed too. He wandered back to the main room, Father was sitting in his usual chair, looking as glum as ever. "Im bored," Envy called out to no one in particular "I need something to do." he whined. Father grunted in response, barley paying attention. When Envy realized that no one was paying attention, he walked out. "Fine, I'll find something do do by my self." he said loudly. He walked through the tunnels, thinking about nothing. He thought about going into town, maybe Central. He decided to turn himself into a regular citizen. It started at his toes and his completion flipped from a meek teen to a middle-age man with wispy brown hair and a bulbous nose. Feeling satisfied with his transformation, Envy walked along the tunnels. He thought about aliases he could use for today, Sato Akira he settled on. Envy walked for what he thought was hours. Surely he was in Central now. Envy found a manhole cover and climbed up through it. Luckily no one was around to see. He hopped up on solid ground, feeling the hot sun beating down on him. He squinted and scanned his surroundings, "This isn't Central." He walked along the cracked cobblestone roads and appeared in front a Command Headquarters. "Huh, this looks like the one in East City." He shrugged, "Wrong turn I guess." Envy continued walking until he came across a small road lined with shops. He headed down the road. A couple of people said hello do him, he nodded in acknowledgement. These towns-people didn't know how easily Envy could kill them all. A mischievous grin flashed across his face. He saw a lady exit a small shop carrying a clock and looking very happy. He noticed it was a repair shop, he wanted to enter but nothing of his was broken. Envy found a broken broom lying on the side of the street. The handle was broken clean off and the hay brushes were falling out. He made do with the broom and entered the small and quiet repair shop. "Hello, uh I don't have an appointment or anything but I was cleaning my house and my broom broke. My wife will be furious. I was wondering if you could fix it. I'm terribly sorry for this." He tried to sound frantic as he approached the man behind the counter. He placed the broom on the counter and looked as helpless as he could. He looked at the store keeper, or he assumed. The man had beautiful eyes, the reminded Envy of a chaotic thunder storm, with soft greys and shards of blue and green. Envy forgot where he was for a second, but pulled himself back to reality, "So can you fix it?" He asked.

║ Shingero Takano ║
After the old woman left the alchemist place the cenz into his cash register, closing the drawer as the bell rang once more. He glanced up about to welcome his new customer but was silenced when in came an older man. He seemed to be in a distressing state, explaining his story to the other. Apparently he managed to break his broom in literal half, even some of the bristles were falling out; how hard had he been sweeping? Either way Sin smiled and nodded along to the man's story, giving a soft chuckle at the mention of his wife being furious; he must have really been scared of her rage.
"No problem sir, I don't get too many customers on days like today so I can gladly fix your broom." he explained after the man had finished his explanation. The man seemed to stare at him as he spoke, like he was watching him or examining him? Either way Shin wouldn't pay much mind to it , not wanting to be one to judge a person's character based on their appearance alone; plus this man seemed distressed and ready to do almost anything to save himself from his wife's wrath. It was honestly kind of funny to Shin, this man wanted to please his wife so much he managed to break his broom in half and now needed it fixed to continue his work. He glanced over the broom lightly before looking to a shelf behind the counter, digging through a few boxes before pulling out a small plank of wood. He placed this next to the broom before pulling out a blank sheet of paper and a pen, debating on which array would work best to mend the broken wood. After a few more seconds the transmutation circle was constructed and the broom was placed on top, Shin then grabbed the wood plank and placed it between the severed parts. The alchemist placed his hands on the circle, causing it to light up an aqua blue before the wood plank was mended into the rest of the broom.
"There that should do it." He said once he had completed the transmutation, pushing back any strands of hair that had become undone from the hairband holding his hair back into a loose ponytail. "Now sir, please try to be a little more gentle when you're sweeping. This mend is only made with wood so it's still easy to break if you are not careful. But if it does break again feel free to bring it back and I will gladly fix it once more, perhaps with a stronger wood next time." He said thinking about what type of wood would be stronger in case the man did end up breaking the broom again. He then grabbed the wooden broom and handed it over to the man. "A simple fix like this should only cost about two hundred cenz." he said with a light smile, ready to lower the price if needed.

|| envy the jealous ||
Envy watched as the shop keeper mended the broom with alchemy. He wasn't expecting alchemy, to be honest, Envy was expecting duct tape or something. Bad blood boiled in him, he would love to wreak havoc in this small shop. Someday, but not today. "Oh thank you so much! I'm so grateful for you and your shop." he smiled. Envy went to dig into his pockets to pull out cenz. "Your alchemy is very impressive too. I wish I could be an alchemist, alas, I am just a regular husband working a fruit stand." He almost chucked at how easy it was to lie in this form. He pulled out two hundred and a little bit from pocket. He placed it on the counter, "Keep the change." He said as he started to turn. He reached the door when he turned back around,"Nice little shop you run by the way. Keep up the good work, you'll go far my friend." Envy exited the shop. When he stepped out into the bright sunlight from the dimmer repair shop, Envy had two things on his mind: to cause trouble and the repair man's eyes. He stood in front of the shop and thought for a minuet. He couldn't stop thinking about the shop keeper's stormy eyes, they were beautiful. "Excuse me!" A man called to him from down the street, "Could I use your broom for a second?" Envy nodded and made his way down the road. He handed it to the man. The man swept dirt of his patio. The twill coat and coarse cotton shirt Envy was wearing made him itch, he desperately wanted to get back into his usual form. He could easily change back, but he would look quite out of place compared to the easy townspeople on the street. He watched as the man swept the dirt off, he watched as the alchemy really did work as it held the broom together as he swept. The man finished and thanked Envy, who would ever thank a kid like him? He walked into a nearby alley, bored again. Clearly Father didn't have anything panned on his agenda and the others were caught up in their own problems. While in the alley, Envy decided to change into something more comfortable, in this case it was a seventeen year old boy with long curly hair and a crooked nose. He looked around him, there wasn't anything worth fixing but shattered glass, and what good was that anyways? He took off the twill jacket from the older man transformation and threw it in a nearby dumpster. He wanted to go back in the repair shop to talk to the keeper but it was useless if he didn't have anything broken. He didn't know what to do. He wasn't feeling so good either, he felt sick. Only it was like he was nervous and hit stomach was doing front flips. He'd never felt this way before. Maybe he was hungry. But he didn't want to eat anything. Envy went out from the alley and sat on the ground in front of the shop, with his back leaning on the wall. He picked at the dirt beneath him, letting it come under his fingernails.

║ Shingero Takano ║
The man had seemed overjoyed as he took back the repaired broom, praising Shin's handy work while digging into his pocket. "You're more than welcome sir!" he said with a light smile. "Well without fruit stands we would all possibly starve so you are just as important." he stated before the other paid, actually paying him extra as well. He was about to say something along the lines of 'I couldn't except this much." but he was stopped by the other's response of keeping the change. As the other male was leaving he turned around and gave Shin one more comment, causing the boy to flush a light pink shade. "Ah thank you again sir!" he said happily before waving the other off.
Once again Shin was alone with his thoughts, though he knew the moment wouldn't last long since it was nearly noon and that's when most of his customers would be coming in. He placed the money from his previous customer into the cash register, hearing the gentle ding it made as it opened. He placed each coin in the correct bin before closing the drawer, the soft ding going off once more. He glanced around his quiet store before reaching up and turning on the radio, a news station played through the speakers but Shin just turned it down; it was too quiet without some type of background noise.
Soon enough another common customer of Shin's was making his way to his store, though stopped shortly ahead of it when noticing a teenage boy sitting outside the store. This time it was a young woman caring a broken vase, one her child managed to break almost every week. She looked at the boy before crouching down to his level, "Whatcha drawing there?" she asked kindly, giving a gentle smile. Shin had made his way to the front door and glanced out, "Is everything okay Mrs. Evans?" he asked before noticing the boy on the ground. "Oh nothing dear." the woman replied before smiling, "I was just curious if this boy was lost or waiting for his parents." she added before standing back up and dusting off her long blue skirt, "Also Shin, Erik broke my vase once again. It seems no matter where I put it he always manages to knock it over somehow." she said with a soft chuckle. "Don't worry Mrs. Evans I can fix it up in a jiffy." The alchemist had stated as she handed over the broken vase.
"Thank you once again Shingero." she said before glancing at the boy again as Shin brought the vase to his counter top, grabbing the necessary materials for the transmutation he was about to complete. "Alchemy is quite amazing don't ya think?" she said aloud, not expecting an answer from the boy. "Imagine if everyone could use alchemy, the world would be an even crazier place." she said with a chuckle before Shin returned with a fully fixed vase. "Here you go Mrs. Evans, this time try not to break it until next week." he said as they both chuckled, Mrs. Evans taking back the vase and placing one hundred cenz in Shin's hand. "I'll try my hardest Shingero." she said before waving a goodbye and heading back the way she came.

||Envy the Jealous||
It surprised Envy the amount of kindness that was being thrown out into East City. It caught him off guard when a lady holding a broken vase crouched down and asked him what he was drawing. He absent-mindley drew a strange polygon of some sort. He didn't have time to answer before the shop owner and the lady were in a conversation. He watched the man's alchemy once more before the lady headed back the way she came. He then turned to the shop owner after entering the shop. "That's some pretty cool alchemy talent you have." He said "I was drawing random and pointless things in the sand earlier. Guess that lady noticed. My dad's out on a trip so I was left here to rot." Envy took the bad joke loop and ran with it, "Heh, guess I'm just bored around here. The name's Sato by the way." He smiled and jabbed a thumb at his chest. He liked this body, it was small and nimble and Envy felt as though he was as light as a feather. He blew locks of curly hair out of his eyes and admired the shop by turning his head slowly to see all around. He admired the shop even more than before as he now got a good look at it. He mumbled something about it, but was probably too low to be audible. It was almost a shame that Envy would probably come tearing through the shop, wearing havoc to the shop and the street. This street was a perfect spot for the other homunculi to come down, he'd have to tell them about it sometime.
He turned back to the shop owner. He seemed nice and a cool person to be around. "So have you ever tried to do alchemy without transmutation circles… Shingero?" He smirked a little when he remembered a name floating around when the older lady walked in. "Was that your name?" He added. He felt like he was talking too much, but he shrugged to himself. It seemed as though 'Sato' had a mischievous personality, it differed from Envy's. Envy had a skill of acting. It came in handy in times like these where he didn't want to blow his cover of being a shape shifter. Different personalities were key.
[sorry, writer's block. hope this is enough c:]
